Open source software portal was developed and installed on technical resources of the Institute of Software Systems NASU. Operation and technical support of this portal is provided by means of open source software. Open source office package and portal engine are presented and recommended for using in NASU. The needs for program systems based on open source software in NASU were studied. Information about open source portal was announced among State Grid Project members and other concerned persons. NASU data center was established and based on technical resources of the Institute of Software Systems NASU.
