Purpose - to identify differences genomic instability at the chromosomal level in somatic cells of patients with radiation-associated and spontaneous thyroid cancer and healthy individuals. Methods - cytogenetic, mathematical. A study was the frequency and spectrum of chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with thyroid cancer (TC) and of healthy individuals, especially analyzed on the intercellular distribution of chromosomal aberrations to detect differences genomic instability at the chromosomal level. As a result, identified differences in genomic instability at the chromosomal level in somatic cells of patients with radiation-associated and spontaneous thyroid cancer and healthy individuals. The frequency of chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with thyroid cancer - the liquidators and those who lived and were evacuated from the contaminated territories, significantly different from control and exceeds the upper limit of the middle spontaneous level of population. High level of chromosomal aberrations in lymphocytes of thyroid cancer patients exposed to radiation as compared with that in patients with spontaneous thyroid cancer, indicates the nature of the radiation-associated tumors. It is shown that the culture of peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with thyroid cancer is characterized by a large proportion (22.14% compared with 1% in the control) subpopulation of cells with high levels of chromosomal instability. Occurrence of aberrations in these cells is not accidental, and due to the fact that the appearance of a lesion leads to the formation of other injuries Product Description popup.authors Вербиленко Роксана Миколаївна Коваль Галина Михайлівна Неумержицька Любов Володимирівна Шкарупа Володимир Миколайович popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
