Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 As a result of cytomorphological and cytophysiological studies in vitro we demonstrate that breast cancer cells with different sensitivity to antitumor drugs show changes in expression levels of adhesion proteins and decrease of their invasion properties and metastatic potential due to impact of magnetic fluid (MF) nanoparticles. These cells also are characterized by changes in their surface charge density an value of electrokinetic popential that cause elevation of intracellular calcium levels and expression of calcium-binding membrane proteins. The noted changes in lipid content of cell membranes point on increase of their fluidity and permeability that increases cells' sensitivity to cytostatics. We showed perspectives in creation of MF based on magnetite nanoparticles and albumine molecules to develop a new method of vector nanotherapy of malignant neoplasms. We also point on the nanocomposite of colloid gold and photosensibilizer molecules to have higher cytotoxic effects during photodynamic impact on human malignant lymphocytes.
