Main attention was paid to EPR signals from Zr3+ ions, Cr5+ ions as well as signals of polarons localized on nanoparticles surface. The principles of annealing influence on these ions EPR signals are established. Effect of oxigen vacancies, dopants diffusion, and phase transitions in ZrO2 on EPR characteristics of Zr3+ and Cr5+ ions is analized. Effect concerned to yttrium influence on internal mechanical stress in zirconium dioxide structure has been discovered. It is shown that Cr5+ ions can be used for obtaining information about mechanical stress in zirconium dioxide structure. It is shown, that X-ray irradiation leads to oxidation of chromium ions.
