II) Purpose of research is development and improvement of modern methods of economic evaluation, which are used in production and transportation of energy resources, and allow to define relevant investment and current expenditures, economic efficiency of different variants of energy savings objectively, and to find optimal variants. III) Research methods: econometric modeling, methods of estimation economic efficiency, processing and generalization of data. IV) Research result is development of the method of estimation the economic efficiency of measures on energy savings which is based on modern methodological approaches. V) Novelty of research: improvement of methods of estimation and forecasting capital and operational expenses in production and distribution of energy resources, and also in measures on energy savings; development of econometric model of optimization of expenditures in power engineering; development of methodological recommendations on creation of the research-based tariffs on a production and transportation of energy resources. VI) Application of results: educational process during studying the courses: "Economics of the enterprise", "Management resources and expenditures", " Econometric Modeling", "Economics and organization of innovative activity".
