The possibility and relevance of the implementation of metals ?-diketonates for the development of the composition standard samples was proved for the first time. The applied methods of metals ?-diketonates synthesis and purification allow to obtain samples consisted of 99.99% of the main component. Systematic investigation of metals ?-diketonates have shown their correspondence of the main requirements to the composition standard samples: the relative error of the metals detection in them was no worse as 0.3%. The individual ?-diketonates are not hygroscopic, they have shown excellent stability in the solid state during 5 years, while as their aqueous and non- aqueous solutions do not change their composition during 4 months. The quantitative data obtained for the metals ?-diketonates solubility in water, alcohols and other solvents used in the extraction analysis point out on the possibility of highly concentrated solutions preparation and on the possibility to obtain their concentrated extracts. Several projects of analytical prescription were elaborated, namely: roentgen-fluorescent detection of mercury in solis; extractive atomic absorption detection of copper microquantities; atomic absorption and atomic emission with inductively coupled plasma detection of various analytes in petrol products withy the application of mercury (I) dimedonate, nickel and copper acetylacetonates as composition standard samples. The advantages of the novel standard samples over the existed ones were shown.
