The object of research - the functional state of cardio-vascular system and special workability of combat sports' elite athletes. The methods of research: the analysis of scientific literature, impedance cardiography, rheovasography, rheoencephalography, chronodynamometry, pedagogical supervision, mathematical statistics. Based on research there were defined the mechanisms of development of long and short term adaptive shifts of cardio-vascular system in combat sports' elite athletes (on boxing data). Also there was defined the significance of pump heart function's and muscular blood supply's adaptive shifts for special workability of elite boxers. There was worked out the differential assessment system of elite boxers' special physical fitness based on the results of research. It was introduced to the preparation's practice of Ukrainian national boxing team. The results of scientific-research work were introduced in preparation's practice of Ukrainian national teams: track-and-field, track-and-field reserves and boxing. The results of research can be used in sports selection, in planning of sports training in different sport specializations, and also in control of training and competition loads.
