The first section is devoted to development of recommendations of Paton Electric Welding Institute of NAS of Ukraine in relation to in-service welding repair of main gas and oil pipelines. Recommendations contain a number of engineering solutions with the mathematical basis: 1) sequences of elimination of defects, revealed at intratubal diagnostics; 2) guaranty of repair safety at welding of pressurized pipeline; 3) choice of rational repair method and proper parameters for repair constructions (bands, sleeves, pipe shells); 4) estimations of repaired pipeline exploitation reliability. Purpose of the recommendations development is to facilitate the rational use of methods of pipelines in-service repair. The second section is related to development of the mathematical software for the rational choice of technological parameters of production of unique ingots of the special electrometallurgy. In particular on the basis of mathematical modeling of electric, thermal and deformation processes at ESR with a liquid filler metal, the process of production of hightwise (lengthwise) heterogeneous ingots of big cross section is developed that allows to eliminate the welding operation for such workpieces. The key feature of this technology is providing of minimum size of transitional area between heterogeneous parts at high monolithic nature of ingot. Possibility of physical heterogeneity actualizes the necessity of mathematical modeling of stresses and strains state of the ingot, and also structural transformations, especially in a transitional area. In the considered research the proper mathematical models, computation algorithms and computer programs, are offered . The examples of computations are given.
