The purpose of the work - to study the reactions of sulfonic acid halides with sulfonates and phenols in thе inverse transphase catalysis (ITC), the synthesis of hydrazones of gossypol, the study of their structure and physico-chemical properties and the study of the structure and adsorption properties of the surface layers of the cationic surfactants. Research methods - infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, tensiometry, quantum-chemical calculations, calorimetric titration. Adsorption characteristics of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) solutions (equilibrium surface tension and the adsorption of surfactant) have been studied. The degree of influence of average activity of ions and the addition of lower alcohols on the equilibrium surface tension of aqueous solutions of CTAB has been established. The reaction between 4-methylbenzolsulfonyl chloride and 4-nitrophenol ion in the presence of a number of pyridine N-oxides as catalysts in the two-phase medium water-dichloromethane in the ITC has been researched. The rate of the catalytic reaction increases linearly with increasing of basicity of the catalyst. It was obtained a number of imino derivatives of gossypol, which are of great interest as a material with a wide range of biological effects, were studied their structure and tautomeric equilibrium. It was found that hydrazones of gossypol exist in solution mainly as the diimines and Schiff base - as the dienamines. The novelty of the work lies in the development ecologically safe methods of benzoates synthesis. Scientific significance is determined in synthesis of new biologically active derivatives of gossypol. Practical importance is in finding ways to directional control of properties of surfactants.
