Besides, it was analyzed what changes of microstructure parameter and physical and mechanical characteristics of steels happen during maintenance and also it was analyzed the existing methods of residual life estimation of the industrial constructions according to different criteria of the critical state. Informative parameter choice was proved for degradation state control and physical and mechanical characteristicsics of the steels. According to the results of the research, they include structure sensitive parameters, such as electric (thermal resistivity), magnetic (coercive effort , inductive parameter), thermal (thermal conductivity factor) and hardness. Specific resistivity control simulation with four-point probe technique was conducted as a result of which analytical dependence was estimated, which gives opportunity to take into account influence of real geometrical sizes of the controlled object on the results of specific resistivity estimation through implementation of special geometric function of the amendment. An experimental sample of information-measurement system was produced for evaluation of microstructure degradation and physical and mechanical characteristics of the long term use metal structures. Main IMS units are described, as well as details and peculiarities of the structure. Maintenance instructions were elaborated as well as draft technical offer for serial production of IMS. A series of experimental investigations with NDT and DT as well as metallographic structure investigations. The research was conducted on special samples of constructional steel, including those ones that were exploited for a long period of time. As a result of experimental research the correlation character between mechanical characteristics (yield stress, impact resilience), ferrite-pearlite steels and information parameter complex. Taking into consideration non-linearity of the obtained dependences, the approximate features of artificial neuron networks were used, algorithms of which were program implemented in the relative IMS unit. A series of field tests was conducted, including the conditions of SE "Ukrkhimtransamiak", the results of which proved the correctness of theory that became basis for physical and mechanical characteristics diagnostics. E-form of interactive data base was elaborated, the latter contains data on more than 250 material elements of oil and gas equipment, physical and mechanical characteristics of more than 180 steel brands and 60 international analogues. Two methodologies of tubing steel yield stress and impact resilience measurement with the help of developed control methods. The elaborated method of residual life estimation of the pipeline with defect according to specific impact change that more concisely encounts material degrading processes, which appear during long term use.
