Purpose is scientific support and paperwork management of work for hexachlorobenzene toxic solid waste removing from landfill in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (hereafter referred to as the Landfill), where their were disposal; analytical evaluation of the average composition of exported waste; analysis of selected air, soil and groundwater samples at the site for determination of organochlorine compounds content; rehabilitation of areas from which wastes were exported. Methods and types of work carried out during contract performance: field geological, hydrogeochemical, geodetic and geophysical studies of waste Landfills, boring, mechanical wastes removal, their packaging and export, laboratory chemical and physical and chemical analysis of samples that were taken, mapping of specific areas of Landfills and networks points for environmental monitoring. During work performance there were clarify storage sites of hexachlorobenzene waste, schedules and stages of stripping works on disposal and removal areas, and define the sampling procedure on waste management in 2012. Within the sites, from which waste was removed, were carried out territory planning and rehabilitation conservation measures. The work aims to improve environmental safety in Kalush district, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast.
