The study is aimed at conducting comprehensive researches of dynamical, hydrogeological and biochemical processes of littoral sea-land interactions at the Black Sea experimental subsatellite testing area (BSESTA). Brief results of monitoring studies of the BSESTA ecosystem are presented. The results were obtained during dedicated field experiments at the BSESTA in November-December 2012, in the course of field studies on the Research Platform of MHI in 2012, using archival data obtained on the Research Platform previously, using modeling of dynamical, hydrogeological and biochemical processes, using satellite data for the study region. In the frame of the project requirements for local monitoring, comprehensive information base on the state of the BSESTA ecosystem, recommendations for developing the resources of the southern coast of the Crimea and the Kerch shelf were developed and proposed. In this paper the research materials on regional climate, sea surface, structure and dynamics of water, ecological status of the BSESTA waters, carbonate system, sea-land interactions are presented.
