The purpose is to develop methods of removal from aqueous solutions and dispersions of charged ionic and particle impurities, with the permanent division of purified water and impurities with their subsequent concentration and decreasing moisture content. The research methods are the methods of analytical chemistry and electrochemistry, methods of mathematical physics, microelectrophoresis, optical microscopy. The main results - designed and manufactured experimental equipment for two-stage water treatment: for electrofiltration with continuous division of the filtrate and concentrate and for concentrate dewatering. A theoretical justification of conditions of electrofiltration of dilute dispersions, consisting of charged particles or macroions is carried out. The concentration of charged impurities and mobile sediment formation followed by continuous division of concentrate and filtrate is studied. The regularities of pH adjustment, the value of electrokinetic potential of model disperse system, the electroosmotic flow rate and efficiency of dispersion dewatering are investigated The electrocoagulation process of purification of water, which contains ions of hexavalent chrome, was investigated as function of pH, concentration of chrome and concentration of metal admixtures. It is shown, that the existing ions of metal admixture are removed together with ions of chrome and the residual concentration of chrome ions is lower than MPC to discharge into the sewer. The areas of applications are water processing and water treatment.
