The aim is to study the representation of the processes of historical and cultural phenomenon of borderlands on local materials. Objectives of the project are to find ways and forms of representations Sloboda region as a Ukrainian-Russian borderlands, which were used for its definition and characteristics of various actors depending on social, political, cultural and other circumstances. Research methods are social re/construction; system-structural and intercultural analysis of the phenomenon of national cultural identity; historical and typological, comparative, historical, chronological and semiotic methods of empirical material; methods of historical regional studies, cultural geography.
