Karazin popup.description2 Research objects: micobiota, araneofauna, entomofauna, ornithofauna, teriofauna, steppe and forest ecosystems, and protected areas of Kharkiv Region. Research aim: to obtain new data on biodiversity of various systematic groups of fungi and animals in natural ecosystems of northeastern Ukraine; to monitor general biodiversity indicators in typical natural ecosystems; to determine species conservation value with the aim to develop a scientific-practical base for biodiversity conservation; to analyze the role of antropogenic factors in the forming of steppe communities in northeastern Ukraine. Novelty of the work: a) for the first time the micoflora of steppe nature reserves and forestlands of the steppe zone of eastern Ukraine has been studied; four new for Europe Aphyllophoroid fungi species have been found; a total of 356 fungi species new for the investigated area has been registered; annotated checklists of the micoflora of nature reserves and regional nature parks have been formed; b) a molecular-genetic analysis of some slime mold species has been conducted, as a result, separation of the earlier described species Reticularia dudkae has been confirmed and two new for the science species have been discovered; c) on the results of the spider community investigation, the terms and regularities of species biodiversity recovery after the fire in steppe ecosystems have been monitored; pasturable and arid complexes of sloping steppe ecosystem under the pressure of vegetative mass withdrawing have been studied; d) new and rare for Ukraine spider species have been registered; e) on the base of conservation value assessment, a list of regionally rare species has been made; f) a a new endemic form of the Tubenose goby, Proterorhinus sp. has been found; in the future it can be described as a species new for the science; g) data on the bird community structure in a big city green belt depending on the level of antropogenic pressure has been obtained. The results of work were sent to Kharkiv Regional Administration of nature conservation in Ukraine and to conservation institutions such as Ukrainian Steppe Nature Reserve, Lugansk Nature Reserve, National Nature Park 'Dvorichanskyi' in order to make a report on nature monitoring.
