Object of research - progress trends of rural territories in the Carpathian region. Methodological principles were grounded, methodological approaches and methods, foreign and domestic experience to prediction of development of rural territories in the region were summarized in this work. The factors and mechanisms of the economy of rural areas of the Carpathian region of Ukraine in the context of identification the main tendencies of its development were examined in the report. Prediction of development of rural territories in the Carpathian region of Ukraine in the near and long term perspective were realized, potential scripts of development of rural territories in depending on pattern of change of factors of internal and external environment were worked out. A priority measures of public policy for the development of rural territories were proposed. The theoretical and methodological aspects of assessing the level of development, methodological approaches to modeling problems of prediction the development of rural territories of the region, prediction models of gross production of agriculture, plant and animal products, sown area of all categories of farms are described thoroughly.
