Objective: To determine the effectiveness of different methods of stimulation of crown forming for one year old cherries seedlings. Methods of the research - field and laboratory. It was found that in the conditions of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine the most effective method of increasing branching of one year old cherries seedlings in the nursery, is the removal of the apical leaves combined with processing arbolin, which provides 2.1 times higher yield for the first-class seedlings (3-6 sprouts in accordance to ISO 4938 : 2008), if compared to removal of the top end of the plant (control). By using this method in State Enterprice Experimantal Establishment "Melitopolske" and Private JSC "Vysokogirne" of Zaporozhye region received additional income of 225 and 150 thousand hryvnias, respectively, from the sale of crowned seedlings.
