Their activity against telomerase was studied in vitro. orphyrin TMP3 was shown to have antiproliferative activiti in tumor cell cultures at micromolar concentrations. Spectral and quantum chemical methods were used to investigate the interaction of acridones and phenazines with quadruplex DNA and porphyrins interaction with polyphosphate. TMP3 was shown to easily form J- and H-aggregates on polyphosphate template. A new method of the preparation of amino-modified hydrogels of polysaccharide polymers (dextran etc.) that employs the periodate oxidation of carbohydrate fragments and partial cross-linking of the formed aldehyde groups with diamines was developed. Conjugates of TMP3 with dextran and its hydrogel with inhibitor content 10-20 micromol/g were obtained. The study of alginate hydrogels started.
