The technique allows quantitative depth profiling of alloys' components on the depth up to several um and, thereby, allows in situ investigation of oxidation of alloy melts, segregation of alloy components to the surface etc. Two stages of oxygen diffusion in the Ti-6Al-4V alloy after its annealing in ultrahigh vacuum were observed. It is shown, that in the investigated temperature interval there is slow and fast stage of diffusion.
