Object of study - the consumer market light industrial products. Purpose - to develop evidence-based proposals for the development of domestic consumer markets of light industrial and developing proposals to increase their domestic production. Methods: dialectical, approach of the systems, induction, deduction, retrospective, comparative and SWOT, - analysis, design, extrapolation, synthesis, grouping. Scales and dynamics of development of light industry of Ukraine are appraised for 2007-2011. Potential directions for renewal, strengthening of existent competitive edges and development of light industry of Ukraine in a middle and long-term prospect are certain. The project of Plan of measures of public industrial policy is worked out on 2013-2017 and increase of internal production of consumer goods on development of light industry of Ukraine.
