Research work is devoted to improvement of functional parameters, namely increase in a specific working volume at constant dimensions of the pump, to drop of the noise level radiated by gear gearing of pumping knot. Analyzing known modes of calculation of geometrical parameters of gear gearings it is established that standard techniques, are intended for calculation and design of gear gearings for the general mechanical engineering and don't consider features of pumps. Theoretical probes were carried out and justifications of new design procedures of gear gearing of pumping knot of the pump with the pinion gears, allowing to lower the noise level arising in the course of operation of the pump are executed. The main directions of drop of the noise level arising in the course of operation of the pump with pinion gears were calculation of parameters of the gear gearing, allowing to exclude blow of teeths at contact piece, and also use as pumping knot of the pump of slanting tooth gear gearing. In the course of theoretical probes it was established that in the gear gearing projected by known techniques, at the moment of the introduction in gearing of new pair of teeths there is a difference of tangential components of speeds of points of the leader and conducted pinion gears. The new technique of design of gear gearing in which there is no specified phenomenon that allowed to reduce essentially the noise arising in the course of work was offered. For increase of smoothness of work of gear gearing and leveling of errors of manufacturing of teeths of pinion gears probes concerning use of slanting tooth gear gearing in the pump were carried out. The technique of design of the slanting tooth gear gearing providing operability of pumping knot was developed. In particular, the offered design procedure of slanting tooth gearing provides tight compartment of the chamber of a high pressure from the chamber of a low pressure in the field of between teeth contact piece. On the basis of theoretical probes experimental pumps were designed, made and tested: with unaccented gearing and cross-sectional version of heads of teeths, with slanting tooth gearing, with the increased contact ratio of gear gearing. For carrying out the comparative analysis used the serial pumps НШ-32 close on parameters to the experimental. The comparative analysis of experimental pumps and serial showed that the smallest noise levels on the majority of modes of tests are characteristic for the pump with unaccented gearing (87,5 DBA). To the specified pump the pump with slanting tooth gearing (91,5 DBA) has close values also.
