Purpose - to examine the conditions of formation and transformation of submarine hydrocarbon gas hydrates in the Black Sea basin and their fluctuations during the Holocene development of the concept for the evaluation of the role of gas hydrates in marine geosystems stability under the influence of external factors. The method of research - the collection, compilation, re-interpretation of archival and library materials, the results of our expedition and analyzes that characterize the stratigraphy, tectonics, lithology, geo-and hydrochemistry of the Black Sea. Geologically significant events marked Holocene and theoretically substantiated their potential effects on the formation and stability of the hydrate deposits. The analysis of existing manifestations of gas hydrates as well as their conditions of location (temperature and pressure, the lithological composition of sediments, the depositional environment, the composition and concentration of the gas-hydrate, the mineralization of mud solutions, etc..), Serving to highlight the criteria for hydrate formation, stages and conditions favorable to hydrate in the Black Sea. Explore the specific context of individual risks and the possible negative effects of some dissipation of hydrates, which allows the development of a set of measures that will reduce the risks and consequences of this process.
