The goal of the project is to understanding of the mechanisms of regulation bacterial communication relationships by synthetic and natural porphyrins. Methods: microbiological, virological, biochemical, physico-chemical and statistical. Obtained results: A comprehensive study of the porphyrin bismuth complexes biological activity carried out for the first time. The presence of bismuth complexes of synthetic and natural porphyrins significantly disrupted the P. aeruginosa biofilm formation both in the dark and under irradiation with visible light. The correlation between the structure of the complexes and the predominance of one effect over the other was established. Bismuth complexes of synthetic and natural porphyrins significantly reduce intensity of synthesis of exoproduct of P. aeruginosa, in particular pyocyanin, ramnolipid and Las-protease, which are under quorum sensing control. The results were independent of strain-specific synthesis level of these products. Porphyrin bismuth complexes showed different activity in the presence of redundant concentrations of P. aeruginosa normal autoinducers.
