Goal of the research - development of the methods for forming the models of composite, solid construction and engineering materials in order to evaluate their limit states during local deformation, operation, at the design stage, while manufacturing constructional parts and components as well as their consideration in calculation of the components for strength, durability and crack-resistance in the process of surface plastic deformation. Theoretical basis and procedure of testing sheet composite and solid materials in the conditions of tension, compression and shear are developed as well as techniques for testing in the conditions of double-axis stress state. The methods are developed for building flow curves, plasticity diagrams and determination of mechanical characteristics of composite and solid materials. Hardness - stress intensity - deformation intensity diagrams are built for low-carbon steel as well as limit deformation surfaces for steel 45 and aluminum alloy АД1. Calculation of stress in the deformation zone in the process of pressing the toroidal roller and ball into the part of a random curvature has been performed. The depth of plastically deformed ball is determined and the strained state in the deformation zone is estimated. The solution of the boundary problem of the plasticity theory for pressing-in the roller has been obtained by the finite element method. The mechatronic hydraulic drive circuit on the basis of free-programmable controller is developed and pressure regulator with electromagnetic control is designed. Main parameters of the regulator are calculated and recommendations on the free-programmable controller selection are given.
