Objective of the study: Bring PP system of KINR research nuclear facility in line with the requirements of current regulatory documents on physical protection that were put into force during the last three years. KINR specialists have developed 14 draft regulatory and legal acts (NPA) on physical protection, accounting and control of nuclear materials: 2 of which are put into force by the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 9 documents are put into force by Orders of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, 3 documents are put into force by joint orders of Minenergo, Ministry of Emergences, Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The following draft documents were developed: Site Design Basis Threat for research reactor WWR-M and radioactive materials, which are in handling at the reactor protected area; Five-years program for assessment of the status of WWR-M research reactor. The following documents were developed and approved: Thematic program for basic training on physical protection of personnel that work at WWR-M research reactor; Thematic program for periodic training on physical protection of personnel that work at WWR-M research reactor. Training materials of training courses. In accordance with the programs mentioned above the training courses were carried out for personnel that work at the research reactor.
