A training system consisting of two-storey cordon was found to be optimal for the stock Berlandieri x Riparia Kober 5 BB provided the nutrition area of 3 m x 3 m and the shool load of 14-15 shoots per vine. A higher shoot load (17-18 shoots per vine) led to a decreased average length of the shoots, a smaller shoot diameter, and a reduction in lignification and in the average mass of one-year shoots. Under the conditions of the steppe zone of the Crimea, the optimum shoot load was 14-15 shoots per vine for Berlandieri x Riparia Kober 5 BB and Gravisac and 10-11 shoots per vine for Chasselas x Berlandieri 41B and Fercal when the head without-trunk training system was used. The duration of the vegetation period of the study stocks was 182-184 days, and they were not affected by chlorosis when grown on the soils with 18-19% of soluble cardonates. In comparison to control cultivars, the stocks Gravisac and Fercal were highly capable to develop axilliary shoots. The guality of the graft was influenced by the combined effect of the stock and the scion.
