Based on the theory of linear stochastic processes probabilistic mathematical model of vibration of elements of building and bridge structures was developed, which takes into account the stochastic nature of vibration and thus more appropriately describes actual physical oscillatory processes in the elements of building and bridge structures due to shock excitation. The set of diagnostic parameters for technical diagnostics of building and bridge structures was determined. Statistical methods for obtaining quantitative estimates of diagnostic parameters by measuring the vibrations and methods of automatic diagnostic decision making were developed. Laboratory sample of the shock vibration of building and bridge structures was manufactured; it was experimentally verified in order to test on real objects the developed statistical methods, algorithms and software. Practical application of laboratory sample of diagnostic system at construction sites in Ukraine showed high reliability of results when examining linearly extended constructions with limited access, which made it possible to promptly identify elements of building and bridge structures with defects. This, in turn, enhances the reliability and extends the life of structures in general.
