The method of research based on the combination of features of different technics (such as PV- QV-curves, "N-1", modal analysis, sensitivity analysis) was developed. Identification of the most weak places in the IPS of Ukraine were completed and measures correspond to European practice were proposed. Also the practical calculations of efficiency and stability of the power system with proposed measures were done. The method of on-line estimation of system stability was proposed for IPS Ukraine. The experience of European countries regarding operation of secondary voltage control was studied, test computer scheme for research and development of the structure of such a system was proposed. The main results were implemented in the dispatch centre of NPC "Ukrenergo". In particular, has been implemented model IPS of Ukraine for the analysis of load flow and static stability.
