With the help of NGR-spectroscopy it was revealed that the content of bivalent iron compounds in solid coal-rock is much higher than in coal. The content was studied along layer h61 of Skochinskiy's mine. It was determined that burst presence correlates with iron content in solid coal-rock. In turn it influences on strength properties. It was revealed reduced content of iron compounds in solid coal-rocks in tectonic abnormalities which corresponds with it higher content in coal.
