The authors document the main trajectories in socio-psychological knowledge development in the chronological framework of XVI - XX centuries in Western Europe, the USA and Ukraine. Presented here is the critical analysis of foreign and domestic experience in theoretical developments in the field of social psychology, its scientific potential as well as the practical relevance. The concept of methodological space of the construction and criteria-based evaluation of socio-psychological theories was developed. The influence of foreign ideas and theories on modern Ukrainian social psychology was studied, and furthermore, perspectives of its authentic development were outlined. A number of seminal socio-psychological theories were proposed, namely: theory of arthetypic management, theory of psychology of intimate life, theory of sense transformations, theory of identity of Ukrainian society, theory of socialization of a person in the educational realm, theory of socio-cultural myth-making, theory of migration processes.
