Objects of research: 92 cultivars of roses which are involved for formation of the scientific collection-exposition lot "Rosarium", which belong to 10 garden groups: Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, Shrub, English Rose, Large flowered Climber, Miniature, Grandiflora, Rambler, Polyantha and Bourbon Climber. The purpose of scientific work was comparative analysis of biological peculiarities, selection of the cultivars of roses with high ornamental and economic-valuable signs in connection with formation of the scientific collection-exposition lot "Rosarium ". The generally accepted science (generalization, analogy) and special methods of investigation (phenology, morphology-descriptive and the primary study of kinds are used in the work). The names of cultivars and there belonging to definite garden groups are determined by reference books: В.М. Былова, Н.Л. Михайловой, Е.И. Суриной (1988) and З.К. Клименко, О.Л. Рубцовой (1986) History of the introduction of Rosa L. in "Olexandria" dendrological park NAS of Ukraine and history of using roses for creation gardens of roses, type of plans of famous gardens of roses was studied in the result of the spent work. The analysis of biological peculiarities and ornamental signs of the investigated cultivars of roses is carried out. The project of the collection-exposition lot "Rosarium" is elaborated and works are realized on locality.
