The project results were presented and received positive feedback at the meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It was recognized that the Ukrainian model "green economy" must take into account international and European experience, as well as national and regional particularities. Ukraine, which is the second largest country in Europe is a strategically important partner for UNEP to develop a "green" economy in the region. After the Rio Conference the Government of Ukraine is in the process of preparing national positions towards the realization of the model of "greening" the economy. Project objectives: Assistance to countries in developing national vision and position towards the Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro in 2012. Objectives of the Project: - justification of the status and trends of the national economy; - study of the institutional background and ways to develop "green economy"; - modeling of alternative development in the green energy sector; - comparative analysis of the "green" scenario and the traditional ways of development. Scientific and practical results of research work: - Tendencies in the national economy and individual sectors, where appropriate modeling of green development path; - Grounded implement the principles of "Global Green Deal" model of economic development in Ukraine; - A comparative analysis of the traditional way of development by greening the national economy.5481 Product Description popup.authors Березовська Ю.В.
