This collection of texts consists of the works of Ukrainian humanists in various fields of the humane studies: Literature, Philospohy, Cultural Studies, Linguistics. The task is to select the most representative texts that reflect the development of the humanitarian thought comprehending Gogol's ukrainian heritage. The subject of the investigation is different forms of expression of ukrainian nature of Nikolai Gogol's artistic and philosophical thinking. The main goal is the inventory of the whole potential of ideas and methods of the great writer's legacy from the standpoint of his belonging to the Ukrainian culture. Project objectives are presentation and analysis of Gogol's heritage studies of Ukrainian humanists: scholars and writers represnting various areas and schools of literary and cultural studies. The main problem is the definition of Ukrainian segment of the creative heritage of the writer, that became one of the major problems of Ukrainian Gogol studies of the XX - XXIth century. The result of the project shall be a book (up to 50 pages), which shall include the anthology of works of Ukrainian scholars, written in Ukraine and abroad, scientific commentaries (1,5 page) and the introductory article (3 pages) entitled "Gogol and Ukrainian world".
