Fracture toughness temperature dependences were constructed and the comparative analysis with the results of calculations of crack propagation and arrest in the wall of RPV at its various lengths under thermal shock was fulfilled. Recommendations to improve the models of radiation embrittlement of the RPV metal, to develop the experimental techniques for the more informative tests and to develop the existing normative base for assessing the strength and life-time of the NPP's RPV were proposed.
