Influence of thermo-strain state of metal on structure and phase composition of the welded joints were studied using Gleeble system and kinetic diagrams of austenite decay at different rates of cooling were made. Mathematical treatment of the obtained results was performed and regression equation was set up for predicting the temperatures of beginning of ferrite, bainite and martensite transformation for the purpose of managing formation of a complex of bainite structures, acicular ferrite and tempered martensite which provides high indices of strength and impact toughness, in particular at subzero temperatures, in welded joint metal.
