Research methods - analysis and synthesis of the economic information, expert evaluations, statistical clustering, sampling, method comparisons under an integrated approach to the problem of formation of productive employment for the effects of individual factors and specific socio-economic situation in the country, target-oriented approach in the study mechanisms of state regulation of the economy and labor market, and identify areas for improvement. Results. Theoretical aspects and conceptual basis of the formation of productive employment. The analysis of the major trends of socio-economic development of Ukraine and their influence on the formation of productive employment. The estimation of the dynamics of the main indicators characterizing the state of the economy and labor market and determine the effectiveness of the workforce. Processed proposals for solving the problems of formation of productive employment at the present stage of socio-economic development of Ukraine in the aspects of creating the economic basis of productive employment and strengthening the social focus of public policy on the labor market. Field implementation. The results can be used by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the State employment service and other government authorities in improving the mechanisms of state regulation of the labor market in interconsistency of economic and social policy.
