Theworkpurposeistoimprovetheefficiencyofthermoelectricenergyconvertersbyenhancingthequalityofheatexchangedevicesandsystems, reducingtemperaturepotentiallossesin heat exchange devices and systems, their mass and dimensions parameters and adaptation to thermoelectric modules. Toimplementthetasksoftheproject, themethodsofthermalphysics, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, physicsofsemiconductors and solid state physics, mathematical physics and computer techniques for solving problems and finding the optimal solutionshavebeenused. Generalizedphysicalmodelsofthermoelectricenergyconvertersingeneration, cooling and heating modes with regard to the effect of heat exchange systems on their energy characteristics havebeendevelopedandtheirmathematicaldescriptionhasbeendone. Computertechniquesforresearchandoptimizationofheatexchange devices and systems that allow improving their efficiency by 30 - 50 % havebeendeveloped. Newtechnologieshavebeencreatedandtheexistingtechnologiesof heat exchange devices and systems for thermoelectricity have been improved. Atest benchfortheexperimental investigation of heat exchange systems has been elaborated. Heat exchange devices and systems whereby the energy characteristics of thermoelectric devices are improved by 20-50% havebeenexperimentallystudied. Theprojectsignificanceliesinthefactthathigh-performanceheatexchangedevicesandsystemsforthermoelectricityare to reduce by 20 - 50 % the specific cost of thermoelectric power sources to the level of 1 - 1.5 $/W, which repays their installation in generators within 3 - 4 years with a service life of 10 - 15 years. Thismakesthemmore cost-effective than solar photoelectric batteries. Inair-conditioningandcoolingsystemstheuseofheatexchangedevicesandsystemsof improved quality allows reducing the energy cost of their operation by a factor of 1.2 - 1.5. Theresultsoftheworkhavebeenput into practice according to Agreement 1028/10-Дwith JSC "Motor Sich" (Zaporizzhia). Experimentalprototypesofthermoelectricgeneratorswithdifferenttypesofheatexchangesystemshavebeenmade andmanufacture of production prototypes of thermoelectric heat recuperators for gas pumping stations is being planned.
