The analysis of the results of measurements of mechanical parameters controlled by external influences (high pressure welding, hydrogenation) and proved that the level of degradation of the metal is more correctly determine the absolute values of hardness, wear or other characteristics of the material, and scattering parameters of these values with sufficient number of measurements. The application of methods of modulating the load and previous floods in determining the hardness or wear can more confidently characterize operational degradation steel pipeline.
