The purpose of work is development of modern methods and models for calculations and long-term forecasting of descriptions of maximal flow of spring flood on the flat rivers. Research methods are a theoretical analysis, mathematical design, statistical and factor analysis. Results and their novelty are got - the unique method is first realized for determination of calculation descriptions of maximal flow of floods and complex method of long-term forecasting of descriptions of spring floods for the flat rivers of Ukraine Basic designer, technological and operating descriptions and indexes - more perfect calcula-tion base is offered in theory in comparing to the operating normative document SNiP 2.01.14-83 and by options on forecasting of spring flood descriptions. Degree of introduction - drawn on the got results in the educational process of ODEKU (at implementation of master's degree and diploma works, and also in developments of graduate and postgraduate students) and research work of department (lectures are on scientific conferences, seminars, workings conferences). Recommendations on drawing on the results of work - a new scientifically methodical base is offered on the calculations of maximal flow of the rivers of Ukraine for creation new normative a document, in place of morally ramshackle SNiP 2.01.14-83, that method of long-term spatial fore-casting of spring flood descriptions of Ukraine flat rivers. Industry of the use is planning and exploitation of hydrotechnical buildings on the rivers of Ukraine. Meaningfulness of work and conclusions - it is first suggested to create the unique for the floods normative base on the calculations of flow of the rivers and complex method of long-term prognostication of descriptions of spring floods of the flat rivers of Ukraine.
