It encompassed developing theoretical principles and elaborating relevant applied methods. The theoretical aspect embraced studying various discourse types, notably scientific, legal, political, and economic discourses; as well as analyzing their linguistic characteristics within the framework of communicative, cognitive and socio-linguistic approaches. The applied part of the research implied compiling up-to-date dictionaries in various areas of science and technology, writing textbooks and other educational materials for colleges, lyceums, academies and universities.
