The purpose is to acquire new knowledge of the interaction between corpuscular and electromagnetic radiation from the sun to the Earth's ionosphere according to the technique of incoherent scattering of radio waves for use in space weather forecasting. Research methods are the method of incoherent scattering (IS) radio waves, vertical sounding method, mathematical methods for solving differential equations and interpolation, statistical analysis of the results of observations. Variations of the ionosphere properties and its parameters on the ascending branch of solar activity, which includes years of performance: 2011 and 2012 relate to the phenomena under study. The experimental results obtained in this period, as well as an analysis of the data corresponding to low solar activity are given. Among the parameters measured geospace plasma there are electron density, electron and ion temperatures, the velocity of the ionospheric plasma. These parameters are supplemented with data obtained by the currently under development promising method of determining the ion composition of the outer ionosphere. The wave processes in the quiet ionosphere inherent in almost any time, but changed with the moving of the morning and evening solar terminator are analyzed. As a unique phenomenon in geospace during sudden changes of electromagnetic and corpuscular radiation from the sun, detailed analysis of the complex effects of the January 4, 2011 solar eclipse, and during a severe magnetic storm August 5 - 6, 2011 is given These effects were accompanied by changes in the ionization balance, heat and dynamic modes of the upper atmosphere. In order to further develop methods of remote sensing of geospace, research works for studying the effect of the remote source of powerful electromagnetic radiation (short-wave SURA facility) on the ionosphere over Kharkov are performed.
