Vernadsky University popup.description2 The purpose of the work is to develop the model of the switching structure of the configuration 2x2 for switching of dual-wavelength light flows on the bases of the magneto-optical Faraday rotators and fiber-optical elements of spectral and polarization separation of optical signals. For the formation of Faraday rotators of the epitaxial ferrite-garnet film (EFGF) were created. The synthesis was carried out by the method of liquid phase epitaxy from the solution-melt. Magnetic, magnetooptical characteristics and light attenuation in EFGF were investigated. Magnetic, magnetooptical characteristics and light attenuation were investigated at 1310 and 1550 nm with the light propagation in the EFGF magnetization in the direction of light distribution by saturation field 30 Oe (2.39 kA/m) made 93.4 and 60.9 °/mm at wavelength 1310 and 1550 nm respectively. Specific light attenuation in EFGF at both wavelengths, as measured by the method of substitution, was not more than 0.1 dB/mm. Optical circuit of the optical switch is composed of a set of two-channel fiber-optical multiplexers/demultiplexers, polarizing dividers of light and two Faraday rotators, each of which operates radiation with its wavelength. The efficiency of the switch model was tested under pulsed remagnetization EFGF with the frequency of 125 kHz. Thus time of switching of light between output poles of the switch made 4 mcs. Were defined technical requirements to the elements of the switch while and technological ways of implementation of these requirements for the creation of experimental samples of the switch are at the next stages of its development.
