Vernadsky University popup.description2 The aim of the work is the development of monocrystalline spatial converters based on magneto-optic garnet-ferrite films (MOGF) for devices of non-destructive eddy current inspection of metallic goods. Basic research methods are magneto-optic, X-ray diffraction. Instruments: magnetopolarimeter MPMF-2, polarizing microscope ES-POLAM LO-11, X-ray diffractometer DRON 2.0. Using liquid phase epitaxy method, samples of different types of magnetic anisotropy MOGF were synthesized and investigated. On the basis of synthesized films experimental samples of magneto-optic converters were manufactured. Mock-ups of magneto-optic eddy current introscopes with changeable inductors and test-objects (samples of defects in metal) were made. Magneto-optic converters were investigated as parts of eddy current introscope mock-up, which worked in real time regime, and mock-up of eddy current magneto-graphic regime (using preliminary recording of eddy current image on magnetic carrier). It was shown that, if selected configuration of optical path is used, MO converters with uniaxial anisotropy significantly exceed converters with "easy plane" and "angle phase" anisotropy in the efficiency of defects imaging. Most optimal chemical composition of the MOGF for MO converters is (Bi,Eu,Lu)3(Fe,Be,Ga,Al)5O12; main physical MOGF properties are as follows: the angle of Faraday rotation (light wavelength 0.63 µm) - from 3.5 to 4.5°, period of the domain structure - from 25 to 40 µm, thickness - from 4 to 7 µm, coercive force - from 100 to 120 A/m, saturation field - from 3 to 4 kA/m.
