Totally, 34 strongylid species from 13 genera - 9 species of the subfamily Strongylinae and 25 species of the subfamily Cyathostominae were found in the five equid species. Number of strongylids species significantly differed between different types of horse's host, which indicates the difference between the physiological conditions of the intestinal environment in different species of equids. The changes in the structure of intestinal strongylid communities were observed in horses from different types of keeping conditions. Based on the study of morphological characteristics of different strongylids species, identification tables of nematodes from the subfamilies Strongylidae were modified. Analysis of the morphology and phylogeny of different strongylid species and their equid hosts showed that strongylinae (subfamily Strongylinae) have higher morphological organization and pathogenicity compared to cyathostominae (subfamily Cyathostominae), which can be considered as an indicator of the relative youth of this group of parasites. Biologically justified schemes of strongylids control were elaborated for different types of horse farms. These schemes can be offered for the experimental study and implementation of modern system of control of parasitic diseases of domestic horses in Ukraine and in China.
