The purpose of the work was elaboration theoretical, methodological and applied principles of the formation and realization of mechanism of stimulation of Ukrainian re-gions to increase its level of socio-economic development. The subjects of the research were theoretical, methodo-logical and applied principles of mechanisms of stimulation of socio-economic regional development. In the research process the methods of logical synthesis, analysis, comparison, strategic analysis, modeling, prognostication, econom-ics and statistics, structural and functional, program target, graphic and cartographic methods were used. The results of the research were development of basic provisions and improvement of conceptual apparatus of stimulation of so-cio-economic development of the region, legalization mechanism of shadow economy as part of an incentive mecha-nism of enhancing socio-economic development of the region, organizational and administrative mechanism of stimu-lation of socially-oriented regional development, financial and investment tools of stimulation of socio-economic de-velopment and regional competitiveness, approaches to the development and implementation of regional policy to stimulate the transnationalization of economy and socially-oriented economic development, improvement of the or-ganization of the banking system of the region, tools to stimulate socio-economic regional development through im-proved pricing methodologies in housing, incentive of increasing the strategic potential of the region, stimulation model of socio-economic urban development on the basis of logistic approach, the instruments of stimulation of en-dogenous regional development.
