The world experience in the prevention of the negative trends identified, environmental legislation and environmental labeling of textile materials considered. National environmental legislation in textiles and the ways of it harmonization with European standards was analyzed. It wasdDeveloped and proposed to use new and improved existing methods for determining of quality, the use of which can add information about the safety and comfort of textile materials. Thus, was developed the computer method for calculating of through porosity of fabrics, that defines hygienic properties and protective properties against permeability of the of fine harmful substances. To determine the ability of textiles for contaminate and to cleane of dust in the conditions, close to the conditions of exploatation, the method was worked out and the device was created. The method of determining of the capillarity at different variants of the contact of moisture (sweat) with the textile material was developed. The optimum regimes of textile dyeing with aqueous extracts of medicinal plants, which provide to obtain high-quality color with high ecological, biocides and other valuable consumer properties. The method for improving of the sorption properties of nonwovens based on flax and hemp fibers was developed.
