Vlokh of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 For the first time on the base of developed technology of glassy compounds of anhydrous borates binary systems Li(K)2O - B2O3 and Sr(Ca)O - B2O3 synthesis and grown high optical quality Li2B4O7, LiKB4O7, LiCaBO3, CaB4O7 glasses, doped by Cr, Nd and Er, and on the base of results of their structural, optical-luminescent and spectroscopic properties investigations, new materials for active elements of solid-state lasers with high radiation resistance, high quantum efficiency and transparency in a wide spectral range were proposed. Also nominally-pure high optical quality LiKB4O7 crystals and Li2B4O7, LiKB4O7, CaB4O7, LiCaBO3 glasses were grown, their nonlinear optical and parametrical properties were researched and the possibilities of their use for the generation of the second harmonics of Nd3 +-lasers and powerful laser radiation control were estimated.
