The subject of the research is the scientific contributions of researchers of modern history of Podillya, the study of the sources and the major historiographical themes, socio-political, economic and cultural development of the region. As a result of the studies it has been found out the historiographical process on Podillya in the end of XIX - beginning of the 2000s; a monograph by M. Petrov "City Kamyanets in XV-XVII centuries.: Problems of socio-economic, ethnic, demographic, historical and topographical development" (30 printed pages) was prepared for printing and published; it was processed and prepared for the publication the historical and topographical descriptions of Podillya in the late XVIII - early XX century, which manuscript, written Karl Exter, are stored in various archives in Ukraine and Russia; "Descriptions of Podillya in the late eighteenth - early nineteenth century" (12 printed pages) was published; collections of seals of Podillya of late eighteenth - early twentieth century was studied and on this base monographic study "Podilski seal in the end of XVII - the mid-twentieth century" (17 printed pages) was published; documentary postcards with views of Kamyanets-Podilsky of the late XIX - early XX century, stored in museums, archives and private collections in Ukraine and the Russian Federation, were identified and analyzed.
