The aim is to study the impairments in metabolism of conjunctive tissue matrix of periodontium and mucous membrane of cheek in rats at simulation of periodontitis at different level of endogenic oestrogens; the correction of these processes. The methods are pathophysiological, biochemical, cytomorphological, morphometric, statistic. The three models of reconstruction of the experimental periodontitis were elaborated: by the introduction of warfarin, cuprenil and their combined effect with affection of conjunctive tissue matrix of periodontium and mucous membrane of cheek in rats The introduction of warfarin was showed to result in degradation of conjunctive tissue of periodontium in rats. Xenobiotic cuprenil (D-penicillamine) caused the considerable increase in resorption of osseous structures of periodontium and reduction of the contents of the general oxyprolin in gum of rats. The simulation of periodontitis, restored by the combined introduction of warfarin and cuprenil is analogous to the human periodontitis in considerable degree. The considerable decrease of the contents of oxyprolin and glycosaminglycanes was observed in animals' gum, the growth of resorption and reduction of the level of glycosaminglycanes - in alveolar bone of jaws. The changes in the conjunctive tissue were accompanied by the decrease in the volume of intercellular substance of mucous membrane and the number of active fibroblasts. The polyphenols of milfoil at the influence of warfarin and its combined introduction with cuprenil have displayed the expressed periodontoprotective characteristics. The best results on the state of conjunctive tissue matrix of gums at the different level of endogenic oestrogens were shown by polyphenols of milfoil; of alveolar bone in young and old rats - polyphenols of St. John's wort. The mechanisms of influence of polyphenols upon the state of conjunctive tissue matrix of rats at the simulation of periodontitis at the different level of endogenic oestrogens were revealed. They activate fibroblasts - the cells, favoring the active division and synthesis of the components of conjunctive tissue matrix of periodontium.
