Objective: to estimate the impact of insulin resistance (IR) and the lipid spectrum disorders on the hormonal status of the organism and the results of the nonhormonal treatment methods in adolescent girls with MFD. To define optimal terms for the onset of MFD hormonal correction at puberty. Theor. and pract. results: a concept as regards the probable part of the organism's energetic resources deficiency in the occurrence of MFD at puberty and of a moderate IR to support the ovarian activity has been worked out. The dependence of the effectiveness of MFD nonhormonal treatment on some metabolic disorders has been revealed in adolescent girls. Some informative indicators concerning the effectiveness of nonhormonal therapy in adolescent girls with MFD were obtained on the basis of studying hormonal and metabolic indices. The developed prognostic tables with the counting of predictive coefficients give the grounds for defining possible employment of nonhormonal treatment methods or the necessity of hormonal correction of the pathology. Novelty: pathogenetic significance of IR, hypertriglyceridemia, and leptin has been first established as regards MFD occurrence at puberty. It has been proved that the terms for the initiation of MFD hormonal correction in adolescent girls do not dependent on their passport age, but on the presence of unfavorable predictive factors concerning nonhormonal treatment effectiveness. Effectiveness: the proposed prognostic criteria for estimating the treatment effectiveness enable the researchers to choose patients with MFD for prescribing nonhormonal therapy. Individual approaches make it possible to obtain positive effects (87 %) from the use of nonhormonal treatment methods in the selected group of patients. Application fields: pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
